Beautiful combination with the allium! My peonies are just starting to bud, first blooms on the tree peonies in about 2 weeks, can't wait!

Have to agree with everyone, beautiful combination! I have allium, but not near my peonies. Maybe I could move them.

Billgoff307: As others have said so well, this is a very beautiful combination. I also have several Red Charm peonies and for the past two seasons the blooms are deformed. At the bud stage, they appear crumpled and when they finally do bloom, they have a star shaped stamen showing and they remain very tight. I have had to resort to cutting all the buds off which is not a good situation. All my other varieties are fabulous and they all receive the same growing regime so I cannot understand what is happening to my formerly luscious Red Charm. Have you ever experienced this situation and if so, could you provide me with any advice? It would be most appreciated as they are so beautiful and I certainly would like to have them as they have been in the past. Thanks.

Not Bill and I've not had that happen to my Red Charm, just wanted to let you know there are more resources out there that have more visibility than this forum now. Facebook has several peony groups, some pubic and some private, that have thousands of members, some of which grow professionally. Bill and I are members of several. Planet Peony and Peony Growers are 2 that get tons of hits all of the time. You do have to have a Facebook profile to join them, though. Also another peony forum on Garden.org that has a lot more traffic now. I still haunt both, can never have too much peony info!

Probably would be a good idea to take a picture of the deformity that you talked about and post it as well, might have more luck finding a solution.

Hi Liz: Thank you very much for your response to my post. I will definitely check out the sites you mentioned. Hopefully, sometime soon, I will find the answer and rectify whatever is causing the problem. The good thing is that none of my other peonies are affected this way. Thanks again.
