What To Use For Hedge?

I live in South Florida (Boynton Beach) about 300 yrds from Intercoastal. We have an area along back fence in very sandy soil that is in total shade all day. I need to plant something fast growing we can trim into a privacy hedge that would eventually get 6-8 feet high. Recommendations please? thanks.
