I did not buy the plant... I wonder if should I go back and get it?

bragu, "go for it" because you think it is something special and unusual? Or go for it because it is an available adenium? Because if it is the latter, adenium are easily bought in Jacksonville - I'm not having any trouble finding them. I would only want to spend the money at this point if I were getting something really cool and different. (I have basic pink, white and red adenium.)

I wouldn't buy it just because the leaves bigger than normal. Nursery tents to over feed the plants with man makes fertilizers. As a result, it appears to be healthy but not. It like a much bigger person with diabetes, cholesterol, and other medical issues.

Thanks for your input, Shang. I don't know what I will do... i will sleep on it and decide in the morning. I don't need plants with multimorbidity.

I have around 200 now. I have 2 with similar leaves. They are stronger plants and faster growing.

I would recommend them for root stock at the least.

I assumed this was your plant. The leaf size would not necessarily be effected (larger) through fertilizing or cultural practices. You would have more Branch growth and/or longer spaces between leaf nodes.

I mentioned flower type, as there are species of Adenium which have large leaves such as A.boehmianum & A.dforense [(Oman) not common)] which could be in it's genetic make up. Hard to say, but flower type usually helps to differentiate.

Nothing special about big leaves.

The two similar plants I have are from the same seed. I also have other plants from that seed that have normal leaves. I'll post some pictures a bit later.

I had a scheduled bike ride at 8:30 this morning, so I was in Home Depot even before that. The plant was still there. I took a good, long look at it and decided that the caudex was not really all that great at all. Smallish and not good form (or my personal taste in form). The plant was not in bloom, so I couldn't check out the flowers. So in the end, I decided to not buy it.

Jedoba, I bet it would be good root stock for grafts, but my expertise is not at the grafting level yet. I have 37.5 seeds on the way so I will be putting my focus on that aspect of growing adenium very soon.
