I think you can still carefully separate them. Hopefully others will chime in...

The root system will be quite small yet and they are probably easy to seaport with no damage to either tree's roots. Separate.

Anyway, what will happen if I don't separate them?

They will either fuse into one tree in which both branches are the same, being clones. both are hybrids of its parents. One is a clone and the other is a hybrid. One or the other will die. If they fuse together and they are clone with hybrid it could prove to be interesting to have a single tree of dual fruiting branches. Either way you should be OK. If you separate them you will have 2 trees which mathematically leaves you with twice as many trees than if you leave them together. In real life however you will have one tree grow better than the other leaving you with maybe 1.5 trees.

However if you separate them and they both die you will have nothing. If you have room for only 1 tree I would leave them together and see what happens.
