Hi, thanks for your question. The structure was engineered, it's fairly large. The entire structure is about 20' wide by 40' long, and the covered part is about 20' x 20'. The posts and beams are hefty, too: 6x8 Standard Alaska Yellow Cedar Glu-Lams for the columns; 6x8's for the beams, and the rafters are 4x8's .
