Transplanting seedlings

I was away for 6months and came home to this. I had no time to plant them in a decent seedling tray during my absence. I asked my sister in law to do it for me. I didn't think it will turn out like this.

transplant the last one at 8pm at night,

lesson learnt I should have instructed them in more details on how to plants adenium seeds..... at least am relieved them have space and suffiencent light. Locating a space for them to grow peacefully tomorrow. Right now am off to bed. Horrie in the tropical area in the South Pacific

Very nice ... It seems you always end up planting large scale & spectacular! Please, my regards to Jane.

I see at least one seedling that grew crooked. Let it continue to grow that way to adulthood. As it grows, you can carefully manipulate a further bend by gradually tieing it off downward. If you secure a wire along the rim of the pot that will function as an anchor. To prevent damage, use foam as cushioning at the points where string or wire touches the trunk. When you repot it straight, it will be in cascade form! Prune with that effect in mind.

How did last year's repot fare?

I am just seeing first blooms at about the one-year mark on the seeds I planted last summer. I kept 80 and gifted away about 60. Everything stopped growing when the overnight temps dipped to dewy/clammy 68/70ºF in Jan/Feb, but remained lush and thriving through warm daytime highs of 82ºF. As soon as March rolled in, I began seeing larger leaf growth and everything just came back to life. I can't wait to meet each bloom!!

I recently planted a new batch of 140, this time colorful doubles & triples from KO (Taipei). I am also growing plumerias for the first time. This Bali Whirl is a must have ... smells citrus, like celadon.

Vanuatu my dream place make it is even better growing DR in a place like that. All i would be doing would be surfing and growing DR in paradise wow (:

Thank you Agartta yes they look really nice, but I was really disappointed in transplanting them when the have their first 3-4 leaves. But am happy after transplanting.

Peter thank You, yes Vanuatu is a paradise in growing DR but lately there are too much rain, I think its nearly a month of rain, its because we are still in the cyclone season and its not that nice. Love the place when its nice and sunny.

LatinLady, thank you for the welcome, yes its quite a while since I last post. its because I was away for 6 months and I missed my DR, i'll post pictures of my adult plants.

The seeds came from my 3 year old plants

Horrie, thanks for the story and photos. I'm sorry, but I had to giggle. Shows the difference between someone who cares minimally and someone who cares maximally. Your plants look really good now.

I only know about Vanuatu from Survivor. Are you from there originally? Beautiful place!
