I pot mine in clay pots with lava rock. Works for me but not for every one. My way requires water daily. If you do not have the time or do not want to do that you will need to retain enough water until the next one. The opposite of my way is a plastic pot with some moss in it. The latter way is easy to over water. there are choices in the middle to. If you are near Orlando, it gets very hot there in the summer....

All epiphyte orchid plants have a wet/dry cycle and some need more wet than dry (ex cattleya intermedia enjoys more moisture than most other cattleyas) ) and also vice versa. Digbyana needs more dry than wet and as much light as you can give t up to and including full tropical direct sun... see if you can adjust your plant's environment accordingly....pot type, media, light, air movement, watering schedule etc...
