The grow light isn't commercial. It's a 4' long shop light that has 2 fluorescent bulbs; each bulb has 2,900 lumens for a total of 5,800 lumens, and each bulb is 6500k. The color spectrum is blue. The light hangs from a chain, which also makes it adjustable, and the frame is made from PVC pipe.

I am wondering if the temperature under the grow light is too hot; the new bulbs give off heat (they're warm/hot when you touch them) .I placed a thermometer under the grow light and it's 80 degrees. Is this too warm for growing starter plants? I am NOT talking about germination temperature, but growing temperature, the air and soil temps. Would this create issues with growing the starter plants? (i.e. stunted, stressed, out and/or would they become leggy). I put the light 1"-2" above the plants to prevent them from becoming leggy.

The stuff I would be growing under it would be both warm weather seedlings (tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, etc.) as well as cool weather stuff (lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, etc.)
