Yes, lyndon lyon. It's small greenhouse open to the public. The other section where they have all the full bloom and mature plants are not open. However, I guess they can open if requested.

Irish Glen is a nice small standard. It is by Paul Sorano. The flowers will open - I think they still will have some cupped look - and they will keep a light greenish tint. Will last for long time. Highly recommend. Not flashy though, but strong plant and good bloomer.

I think the very first bloom was not typical - kinda chimerish. The next blooms are more like it Probably it will bloom to the description eventually.

Do they have a large selection of violets there, open for public purchase? That is my one fear is that I would go to the trouble of stopping there, and they wouldn't have miniatures and streps and epicias for sale!

They has most of the standard, mini av available. I saw some strep there. Since I don't grow strep, I didn't pay attenton how many they have. I personally think its easier to shop online. At least easier to find the one you want. For those av haven't flower yet, it's hard tell what they are unless you check each name tag.
