Adenium leaves are different

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing good. I purchased two Adenium at my local home and garden store. I was actually surprised to see they carry Adeniums. Usually in Canada you will be very lucky to find Adeniums in the store or nursery. I also acquired a few from a fellow houzz member. After bringing the Adeniums home and happily inspecting it, I've noticed the both leaves are different from each other. One is longer and narrower and the other is more round. What do you guys think?

Leaf type can be so conveluded with all the crossing of species. Flower type can help identify closer.

More than likely they are both A. obesum with possible crossing of A. Arabicum for the one with larger leaves. The other with smaller leaves has typical obesum leaves.

Very nice plants.

Here is one repotted today

I've noticed some flower buds. Can someone tell me why some of the leaves have a strange white line on the edges?

The other one also have flower buds. I haven't repot that one as yet.

Very nice plants you have there. Different varieties of adenium have different leaves size and shape. The one with the white edge might has some variate gene in it.

I think you will have one with pink flowers and the one potted in terracotta pot with white flowers. Beautiful plants.

Agartta, I was thinking the same also. I just hope buds don't fall off. I will post pics when they open.

Thank you Rick and Shang. I was very lucky to find them. $22 each not bad for the size. I didn't noticed the differences until I bought them home. I really had hard time choosing which one to bring home with me. There was only 9 on the shelf, If only I could have bought them all! *sigh*

One of the adeniums decided to flower after dropping most of its buds. It had some minor caudex rot which I had to cut away. I have to say I really like this color.

And you should be very happy with such a beautiful bloom. Nice deep Fuschia color to petal edges.
