I have been racking my brain trying to figure out which conifer varieties to plant in my landscape that are also available locally. My original plan had 3 spruce varieties, but I haven't been able to find the exact combination of what I need at the nurseries in my area. I have searched the conifer forum and noticed some people were suggesting holly as an alternative for smaller spaces. I know very little about holly, never planted it. Is this variety able to be pruned/shaped? What's the growth habit? The one I saw at my local nursery looked a little splayed out. Wondering if there's a way to keep it neater.
