I love Dann Foley outdoor furniture...I would put a large sectional or oversized seitting area to enjoy entertaining under the stars with oversized zinc pots filled with heat tolerant trees to bring some life to that large space! add some solar globes for lighting..

A large kinetic sculpture would anchor the area well, and feel like it was intentionally scaled to be large. Sculpture on a pedestal would set it up well as art. Add lighting to enhance it. The piece need not be dead center unless it feels like the right placement for the piece you select.

Then with the patio divided to smaller areas consider adding seating and activity centers like a bar, outdoor movie area, games like darts/pool table/bocci ball, etc.

I has the same thought, a large sculpture with an elongated platform that fits the space. Also consider modern pop art or artistically placed clusters of objects (such as signposts etc).

Thank you for these ideas. Hadn't thought of a sculpture. I don't want to block the view from the house so I wouldn't want anything too massive. Have also thought of pots, but then again without blocking the view they would have to be low, with low plants.
