Snowfire (the first few pictures follow the same bud as it opens to a HUGE flower)

This next picture is not crisp as I was juggling the yardstick, the camera, and trying to keep as still as possible:

Same flower minus the yardstick. I've NEVER had a Snowfire flower this large. The stars aligned. LOL!

Other Snowfire buds/flowers. These are grown in pots on my front porch and both plants survived a somewhat mild winter here in WV.

Beautiful! An oldie, but a goodie! It's one of the thorniest roses I know of!

Yes, Thorn City! I don't deadhead that with my bare hands. The thorns run right up the bottom of the blooms!!! You can see that fact on the next to last photo.

I wish the plant grew with more vigor. I have two, potted, and those were both body bags purchased last year at Kmart for $5.99/each. I KNEW from the thorniness of the canes that they were true to the label. <HUGE grin>
