unless you treat with a systemic, aphids are an ongoing problem. usually a daily hose off and controlling ants helps cut the issue down. the soap may have caused a bit of cell damage causing the wrinkles - or its from the aphids feeding. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless its a rot that is traveling down the stem...

Aphids introduce a virus that affects new growth of plants. It's the likely culprit.

I guess I know aphids can introduce viruses to plants but the aphids are ubiquitous. Everyone has problems with aphids at least some of the time. Hopefully whatever it is the plant will grow out of it. I don't see aphids at this point which is good.

Rinse away the soapy residue after one to two hours. Allowing the soap
to remain on the leaves for longer than a few hours can cause damage and
burning. Use a garden hose or spray bottle filled with plain water to
remove the residue.
