If you want seeds you'll have to have a female in the vicinity. But otherwise, there's nothing much to do but watch it.

Not saying anything will happen, just they flower, when the flowers are spent the whole inflorescence withers and eventually drops off. Sometimes if you cut them off early the plant can end up producing some more. Part of its natural cycle.

Put simply, signals go through plants when it's time to go into reproductive mode and flowers start to develop. Once the flowers have developed signals go back saying "job done". If cut off too early there's no signal to stop the process and the plant tries to keep producing flowers. Here's a photo of a tree (photo's mine but not the palm, unfortunately) with flowers past their "Use by" date.
