Onesohsqq2, start hilling up dirt around the potato plant. Leave about 6-8" showing out of the top of the dirt. When the plant grows more, hill up the dirt again, always leaving 6-8" showing through. I do this 3-4 times during the growing season. When the tops start to dry out and die off, then I start pulling back the soil to see my potatoes. I have also grown potatoes in grow bags, plastic buckets, and old large metal buckets we use to use as cold drink and ice holders. They are pretty easy to grow. Have fun!
