It wasn't as warm as I wish it would have been. The wind was cold. I'm thinking about mowing the rough spots in the pasture. It didn't rain today so I might have missed my opportunity. I can't image there will be 2 days in a row that it doesn't rain.

The to do list just multiplies all by itself.

I was so busy this week. Had a doctors appointment for my arthritis in my hands. They were really giving me fits. The best advice from Doc was a hot wax treatment. So I googled and read about it and came up with how to make one using a small slow cooker and I did so and it really is wonderful. He also gave me some pain meds that are not the kind that make you loopy but do help with the pain It is just a stronger version of what I can buy over the counter and much less expensive. Now go figure that one. The good news is they are helping. Pain not totally gone but I am not in agony as I was .

My friend was not feeling well mentally so I spent two days visiting her. Not over night things just going up and visiting with her. Hoping it helped.

I have also finished sanding and almost finished painting the little horrible dark brown cabinet I bought last month for a bed side side table. It is looking pretty good now and I am pleased with it. I just need to do the second coat of paint on the door and it will be ready to put into the room. It was a lot of work but so cute I think it was worth it. If I find another cute piece like this one was I will pass it by though. I forgot how not fun stripping furniture is.

We have also had rains on and off the last few days. I am happy for them because it means I do not have to be dragging hoses to water and I got mowed just before they started again. Of course the mowing is endless. It gets hot grass grows ,rains , grass grows more and needs mowing again. OH well so far the lawns are nice and green. I probably should mow again but I think I mowed Monday evening so only a few days ago.

I am still drinking coffee today. finishing off the pot since I left early and only had two cups. Plugged it back in when I got home. I have a pork roast in the crock pot with chili peppers. I do not usually like crock pot cooked meat but I need to hide the flavor of pork some I am so sick of it and have a lot in my freezer to eat up.

I "wanted" to mow the rough spots in the pasture but the mower battery was dead. I don't understand it. When that mower was new the battery was always good come spring. It's 10 years old or so and I got a new battery last year. I can procrastinate on mowing so when I finally do go out there, I need to be able to do it.

I could finally row the carrots yesterday. I might have strawberries in a couple more days. It was hot and sunny today. I should have checked them.

Stripping furniture. Yes. After I drug home that free end table a few years ago you'd think I was smart enough to not decide to strip the old kitchen table from the parsonage. That was last year and I've passed on some things that in my younger days I would have brought home. And it's too expensive!

I took a friend to a dr.appt this morning, then we went out for breakfast. Did I say the appt was at 9:30a.? I don't get up until 7am, and I enjoy a looong morning with bkfst, newspaper and coffee, and the crossword, until 10:30a. Drank two cups of black coffee at the restaurant, got home at noon.

So basically the rest of my day was mixed up to say the least. lol I couldn't get motivated to do much at all. No tea either. I did go buy some more paver stones and another bag of pea gravel for a project I'll probably do tomorrow.

Are we too busy to get together? Seems like we must be.

In celebration for almost getting my jeans buttoned and zipped, I made a cherry cheesecake pie. I will eat it today. I'm going to eat it all so one day or more than one day, will it matter?

After all the rain I had, now I'm watering.

You go girl! I just ate three ice bars for supper! hee hee It's a cold day here today, too cold for ice cream but that didn't stop
me. I actually turned the furnace on and the thermostat to 70. My feet
are still cold. Quite grey and gloomy all day with dark clouds.

I have tea most every day so I tend to forget to check the Tuesday tea thread until the next day or so. Drank Lady Grey yesterday, Yorkshire Gold today.

Yum on the cheese cake. Making me drool. I had to go back on my diet in the more strict version as I had gained back 10 pounds. I have now lost 7 in the last 9 days so doing good. I just needed to cut back some. I was not eating anything I should not be eating just too much eating. I had stopped weighing and measuring foods and doing the daily scale thing. Guess I need to always keep that up. Darn because I do not want to think of myself on a diet for the rest of my life. My pant size did not change with the added 10 pounds. I never noticed. doc did.

I really have been busy this week. I was gone most of the day Tuesday. Working to catch up on Wednesday and also felt the need to move some things out of this house and help it feel more open and airy. I think I like it this way. you all know me I am always moving stuff around. Come winter I might be putting it all back again for warm and cozy. Rained yesterday after I watered the whole yard the day before. OH well now the yard is good and watered. Not sure what the weather is going to do today so no painting out side projects yet. I am still drinking my morning coffee.

LOL ImHappy. I drink coffee and tea both from my same old mug. Once in awhile I wash it.

I was chased in by the rains a little bit ago. I almost have my new dump shopped trellis up. I still need to add one more clamp on top and then dig the planting trench in front of it. I was going to paint it but what I thought was rust on it was only dirt and mud. Washed off nicely and it is powder coated so I do not think the paint will stick very well. soon it will be covered in vines anyway. So happy with how this is turning out.

I wash my mug sometimes! I'd like to find a trellis like that. Your dump has better stuff than our rummage sales.

Yes ImHappy I agree. Dump shopping here is so fun.Each one of those panels is 15 1/2 inches wide. I would pay 20 dollars each at the local store for them. Free is always good

Rain then sun rain then sun rinse and repeat all day so I decided not to even try to go out to work. Been putting together another mosaic window for my master bath. I made it so I will no longer need a curtain. Some one would have to have eyeballs at the 7 1/2 foot level to be able to peek in and be standing right up against my house so I think I will be save to leave the top part open. The glass I used is clear iridescent and more pieces of glass dishes. I can not photo it yet the glue is still drying. I also want to put some fresh paint on the wood frame. Just resting from standing the whole time while I was working on it.

I had the old screen door in front of the window holding curtains. It will be turned back into a full length mirror and hung on the wall.

It was too hot to sleep last night so I have the a/c on :-(

It was over 90° in the shade on the south side of the house this afternoon.

I went ahead and spent $600 on new gravel for the driveway and now the excavator guy says he'll be here Wednesday to put in my water way. Of course he will. I'm broke. Temperature will remain in the 90° range and no rain in sight. I want to have him skim the good grass off so I can re lay it but how will I ever keep it alive! Run the hose on it all night, I suppose, but still... 90° and full sun. If only he would have come in April ...

Not much going on here. Just working on my mosaics. Weather has kept me inside for two days now. The furnace came on here last night or early morning. I got up and shut it off. I got back in bed and snuggled under the cats. They earned their keep this time. I had the other heaters turned off but forgot about the furnace. It was not that cold at 65 degrees inside. No heat has been needed for a couple weeks or more. I forget when I turned them off. Now it is still storming. I will throw an extra blanket over me tonight and call it good. This storm is not going to last. I wanted to mow the lawns but they are too wet from the rains.

I have now lost 7 1/2 pounds of the 10 I re-gained as the doctor informed me. Sigh so............... Just needed to be a little better about portion control. I hate to be a slave to my kitchen and bathroom scale but if this is what it takes I will keep doing it. It had been months since I had weighed myself so a good thing I nipped the gain in the bud before it was more. I did not notice my clothes getting tighter which I feel is very interesting.
