Beverly, I enjoyed the tour immensely! You have extensive gardens and pride of ownership in your property is very evident. You have done an amazing job in the placement of your plants. When the background peonies open up the display will be spectacular against the hostas in the foreground! The pink colour of your irises is so gorgeous. I have pale pink that borders on mauve iris but I've never seen such a gorgeous pink as yours.

A beautiful property extremely well-taken-care-of. A gardener who loves gardening lives there. :-). Thank you for sharing your gardens with us. I derived such pleasure from viewing your lovely photos.

You are all so nice. That's why I keep coming here. Many things I have done are from inspirations from you all - like the rock borders. I have less than 100 named variety of hosta, fewer than most "hosta people." However, I have many other plants.

Pieter, I agree about the grass. I have 2 or 3 ideas about expanding the garden but I want to make sure I can tend the garden I have first. My husband will do the lawn.

I have to admit, some days I sit outside and can not believe it is my garden.

Another inspiration I got here was container hosta.

Wonderful Frisian Pride, Beverly, that one is made for a big pot. I love your garden, you decorated your hostas with many other nice plants and I can understand that you are sometimes tired. Such a big garden is never ending work. But as Pieter says, there is still a lot of lawn left :-)

Wow, that's a beautiful yard. In addition to the gorgeous hostas, I do love that pink iris. I also like the addition of the containers. They "dot" the beds and add interest. Well done!

Did you have Solomons Seal at the side of your garage? I remember a post from a few years ago and thinking how lovely the gardens looked next to that house color. Your red pots are superb! Wendy

Since a couple of people mentioned it - Its iris Pink Bubbles. I can't seem to get tall bearded iris to bloom much in my yard, even in full sun. This smaller border iris, on the other hand, is doing quite well.

Manyhosta, I unpot them and plant them where I grow herbs in the summer and any where else I can find space. Then I dig them up in the spring.

2 yr. old Bleeding heart.Ligularia & Lamium?Very slow growing Empress WuHaha, I hang my hanging plants in the shade trees during the summer..the rest of them are out front..I have to be careful because my Son gripes when he's mowing with the tractor & hits his head. I believe there are 9 or 10 hanging in this Acer.
