I see you have the panel on top of the current door. Im not sure what is on the inside, but a great idea would be having glass on the top of the door as well for more light. Here are some ideas i found with the top glass and without:

Thought about glass on top. What is there now is part of the pediment/door header. Would have to measure and see how transom on top would work on inside. Above the door is one large window with half moon transom above it hidden by tree branch in pic haha. After seeing some of these, I'm rethinking decorative glass! Looks like these are painted a color on the inside - I've always had white. Hadn't thought if that, but I love that idea. Thank you!!!

You should do more of a traditional door. Your home is not contemporary or craftsman.

Thank you all! Going to look for a more traditional door, but with the natural light I love. And ditching the storm door and getting rid of the old steel door that is dented, rusted, and rotted with be a big improvement. Love those craftsman doors though. Another time lol

We love that you’re still wanting to use your entry door as a vehicle for natural light! We have a lot of door glass options that will fit most steel or fiberglass doors. Our glass is also unique in that you can pick a style that will give you as much (or as little) privacy as you desire, but it will still bring in a lot of that light you’re looking for. We’ve posted some pictures below, but feel free to check out our ideabooks for more inspiration! We also have a tool that allows you to upload a picture of your home to test out how different styles will look. Check it out!
