Move the rug and the couch closer to the fireplace to give room for the console and to include the chair as part of the arrangement. Put an interesting mirror above the cabinet ( with or without sconces), and a grouping of art pieces at SEATED eye level on the larger area.

That wall is crying out for some art - something a decent size, and with some colour to it.

Maybe try centering sectional more and as stated above, pull it closer to the fireplace. Sofa table could go behind the sectional then. It would help to see the other side of the room and see how much space you're working with.

A physical thing…center the rug on that bare wall….that will pull the sectional in closer to the fireplace.

No need of the wood server.

Put the chair on the rug.

Now pick an ottoman.

Add a large piece of Art over sofa and make it the focal point to anchor a room. A large piece of Art can really bring in a wave of deftness and add more color and life to your room. It acts as a style to your room.
