Your roses look fantastic Karen ! Wow ! Would you give a review on the pilgrim ? I'm wondering about its repeat as well as if it's a climber for you . Seems to be a mix of reviews on the repeat factor .

It looks like you have some roses in front of your home, that's so nice to share your views with the neighborhood!

I'm leery of roses in the front yard, afraid of attracting deer.

Thanks very much Judy and Lily. Judy, must be the rain that we have had all last month. Lily, It is really nice to have roses planted along my driveway toward the front. Everytime, I leave the house and come home, I get to see and smell the roses. That's the whole reason I planted the roses there. I can see them 5-6 times everyday! :) Thank God we don't have deers yet. Hope they will never show. Unfortunately the Japanese Beetles will show no matter what right around late June. And they will feast on my roses, peaches, and apple foliage.

Lily, I forgot to answer your question about the Pilgrim. I can't give you a fair assessment because it is not grown in a good spot and that I had not paid much attention to it as much as the other roses in the last 2 years that I had it. Also it probably needs support which it currently does not have. THough I have not done it, it may produce more blooms if the canes are supported horizontally. The only thing that I can comment on is that it does not suffer much dieback from winter or spring freezes and it does produce a nice spring flush. Also, it will quickly climb up to 8ft in a season even if you prune it down to two feet.

Beth, MC does have potential. Please give it a bit more time and it will give you a beautiful flush. I will continue to watch it to see how it does with repeat throughout this summer.

Ingrid, I am blown away by Dick Clark's perfomance this year. Talking about instant repeat. It just keeps pumping out new buds. This is one rose that does well on own root.

HalloBlondie, well I will look forward to seeing your roses when your spring flush arrives. By that time, my spring flush is most likely over. Hope you will have a wonderful one! Have you had a lot of rain within the past month? If so, you should get a bountiful flush when it arrives.
