Liberty is a great hosta, and when it gets to that size, it is a sight to see! I have one and it makes me happy too! It just brightens up the area, doesn't it?

Yes, it's beautiful. I planted SIX last year and am watching and waiting anxiously . . . But even as babies they are awesome!

I wish I had more room to plant a Liberty after seeing your beautiful plant.

Mine has been in the ground nearly a half dozen years and is clearly happy (sorry, no pics). It's the cornerstone in my shade bed.

That's one proud Liberty, a real stand out!

It's probably 8 years old. It's been moved 3 times, and this is finally the location that it likes.

It is a beautiful one and a showcase Hosta in that spot, Linnea! Like a greeter! When I first got mine, it took a couple of years for it to get settled in - then last year I got a hint of what was to come because THIS year it is splendid... the colours, the width of the leaves...it has become a beauty. The best news is - it actually looks like a Liberty now, no mistaking it and yes, I always gravitate towards it as it puts a huge grin on my face.

The golden edges will bleach out a bit as the summer goes on. But never becoming really white. This gets more sun than any other I have, and being moved to more sun I believe is what triggered the growth explosion.

There are actually plants underneath it, which I always forget to move, forgetting how wide Liberty's become. There's a whole peony and a couple of lilies at the back!

My 2 Liberty are on year 2. They brighten my day. I'm very excited about how they will look in another 2 years! I planted them in locations I can easily see from inside my house or from the patio, & they put a smile on my face.

Absolutely gorgeous. I am getting one this year.
