I purchased a 2 year old white genoa fig tree last fall from Figtrees.net, which operate out of New England. The tree was dormant and as per their instructions, I potted it and placed it in my garage for the winter, keeping the soil moist. I treated another young fig which I propagated from my existing fig tree the exact same way. The genoa has not developed leaves yet, whereas the one that I propagated has grown at least one foot already. I scratched the bark and it is green, which I assume means that the tree is alive. Could it still be in shock from last fall?
