I would consider a nice clean window look. A fabric roman shade in a color to match the base color of the wall or white trim. I love your art wall. And, you might consider painting your bed a fun color pulled from the flower wall. The nightstand could also be brightened up the same way. I've painted almost all of our nightstand tables and it has made a world of difference. One of those shaggy fur rugs next to the bed would look so cute too. They come in colors. Good luck and enjoy.

I'd paint the bed and nightstand then work on the curtain. The curtain for one (although a different color is in order) does not have enough, "poof" or gathers. It sits like a sheet that was made in to a curtain.

Consider something such as a balloon shade:

Consider making the bedding in to a shabby chic look as the walls and such seem to lean this way. Paint the bed a white or off white and the dresser a color such as a Aubusson blue such as Annie Sloan.

Bedding can be had at Target to mimic this look. Then you can sew a balloon shade in a tone of green or mid tone pink (depending on the bedding) if you have sewing experience moderate would do the trick advanced not necessary many tutorials on line.

I'd like to see the bed and night stand painted the same color as the wallpaper background. And keep everything else simple - perhaps matchstick blinds, and sheets to go with the paint color

You have sunset/deep peach and bright pink - Idk how the sunset helped - I could've seen that pink curtain as good cause the floors are dark [I mean with same paint color]

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. They are so helpful. I would have never thought of going with blinds or shades, but I really like that balloon shade. I agree there needs to be a rug. I can post a pic when I make some improvements.

You do not need an accent color with the wallpaper. The Indian Sunset paint really detracts from the wallpaper which should be the focal point along with the bed. Look how the paint is at odds with the wood floors : (

Keep the bedding simple. Start with it because it will be so much easier to match drapes to bedding. In fact bedding often comes with matching drapes. Bedding should set the tone for the room not the drapes.

You have too much furniture stuffed along the window wall. Move the bedside table to the other side of the bed. Can the bed be centered on the wall? Can the bookshelf go in a closet or on another wall?

Paint the bed and the bookcase and the bedside table a creamy white that will blend with the wallpaper's background.

I think your curtains would work if they weren't against the Indian Sunset wall. I wonder if it makes sense to repaint?

The room would look much better if the walls were painted the cream color from the gorgeous wallpaper. i'd paint the bed and nightstand cream too. It would be a very calm, relaxing space.

Painting the bed with Old White by Annie Sloan and waxing in clear would be so nice I agree...

I think a poof shade with give the room a lift with a lot of volume as well and some shabby chic bedding..

The color of the curtains is really quite good - it is the wall color that seems off to me. I agree with the suggestions to reprint it a white/cream that matches the gorgeous wallpaper. With an ivory or white carpet, you could decide if the led and table really need to be painted. The contrast might look perfect then.

You have lots of ideas. I like the idea of a pouf or valance mounted to ceiling and use a duette or other for light control. Wonder if moving the bed to under your window is a possibility and frame out with panels under valance. This would allow the wallpapered wall to flow uninterrupted as focal point.

Besides being the wrong color as you pointed out, the curtains are flat like a sheet thrown over a rod. Drapes should show some fullness and drape. To make sure curtains aren't too skimpy take the width of the window and double it for drapes. So a 50 inch wide window will get 2 panels each 50 inches wide

No need to do anything fancy with the drapes. Your wallpaper is where the emphasis should be. A solid color will be best for the curtains and the bedding.

So this is after new curtains, moving the furniture and trying some other colors on the bed that we already had. I'll continue to make some adjustments as I have time. I know it still needs work. Thanks everyone for your help!

windows look beautiful with the wall... just need some lovely crisp light pink and white sheets!! Maybe even tackle eventually painting the bed and end table off white?? or end table desk off white and bed frame and foot of bed piece a rich blue like the flower on the desk?

It's happy! and the fashion of the curtains is sweet, imo.... With wood floor, the wood-stained stands seem ok.... good for you!!
