WOW!!! I can smell it from here...

It does smell nice. This is more impressive in person than a picture. Enc. Rufly Profuse takes the prize for fragrance. Tampensis for looks. It is one of the nicest natural species that is local.

It is a lovely flower and has so many blooms and I wish, I could smell it too. :>)

As soon as I saw the name, I wondered if it would be Tampa.

Haven't tried that one. I'm going to look for it.

Jane, it would grow well for you as you are in the zone it lives in. They like to be mounted. And they like eastern exposure. Mine is on a palmetto tree. If you pot it, it must be high on the medium, not in it. They like drainage.

That is a really nice yellowish shade of flower. These are great plants. They are so reliable at blooming that you can set your calendar by them. used to go "hunting" for these in the city I lived in and knew of many locations that had them. One very nice sized plant was within reach in a publix supermarket strip center on a bald cypress tree and I resisted the urge to relocate it somewhere safe. As luck would have it the following week on my visit to the same store the tree was gone and all its plants... into the chipper.... C'est la vie!

Good job Harvey... check for scale on this plant frequently as they are also the scale canary in the mine...
