I'm remodeling my kitchen and my custom cabinets are being spray painted white latex satin finish. My cabinets are shaker, wood with lots of drawers. My question is...what is the industry standard for painting the INSIDE hardware (door hinges and drawer sliders). My painter did not remove them and painted the metal side sliders and hinges. It doesn't look good but my contractor is telling me it's "how it's done". What is correct? Take off hardware, or leave it on and paint it???
