Looking at your idea books on Houzz you have no black countertops there. Why black with a light floor and light cabinets? A light floor in the kitchen if you cook a lot is a lot to keep up as it shows everything. I would consider a white cabinet if you prefer them with a counter top with some white such as white ice granite so it's timeless and won't date:

Kitchen design now seems to have a no or low contrast look to it.

All white with wood floor to warm up the arctic white and stainless steel....but it works!

Glass doors are traditional and this has a nice charcoal tile floor, but with wood tone next to it for warmth and on the bar area a warmer brown tone.
