Okay, tried it a couple hours later in the shade. I think it may be my laptop that washes out the color, on my cell phone screen they are really orange and yellow.

Really gorgeous!! Do you have to feed your roses often ? What do you use ? Lady of shallot is new to me and I love it . I swore off oranges but there is something special about its colors !

Thanks Lilyfinch...I don't own one single piece of orange clothing or have anything orange in my place yet I love orange roses! I remember being surprised when I first saw them here on the forum. The rose forum has influenced me so much on what roses I try. I love seeing everyone's pictures. Your place is so pretty!

I do everything they say not to do with my roses.

I use Miracle Gro Potting Soil, the big bags from Costco and mix it with Perlite. Don't tell anyone but I also re-use the potting mix! Shhhhh! :)

I use Osmocote that's good for six months and Miracle Gro food occasionally.

I think the main thing is water. We very rarely have hard downpours of rain here so even when it rains it doesn't get thru all the leaves to the container. They don't want a dainty little sip of water, they want a big gulp. I water with a hose with an attachment and give them enough til it's coming out the drainage holes. It gives me a chance to look and appreciate every container. Right now we are having a cool June so maybe two or three times a week. When it's in the upper 80's more often, of course.

That's it. And the biggest container I can get.

wow...my LOS is about 4 months old and in a container a bit bigger than yours...and well on it's way to your size if not may get bigger...I had no idea it was going to get this big...don't mind...will prune it back, but it's growing like wild....reallly like it...

I agree. with you..the key to growing in pots is lots of water...I also feed my roses every 4 weeks...they do very well in pots..
