In other news: I bought a calamondin and a variegated lemon! (and a dwarf avocado, and a grand duchy jasmine creeper, but that's off topic here!)

They won't be as close together as the photos seem to show, this is just where I unloaded my car.

It's been super windy here, should i leave the little wooden stakes on, or take them off when planting?

Any other tips before I put the son to digging?

Congrats! I love my calamondin and pink vari. lemons always look so pretty! I am super jealous you get to plant those in the yard and not have to mess around with containers. I would love a few avocado trees but I am not quite sure I can grow them in containers successfully with my available conditions so I have shied away.

Oh I am so jealous! Those trees are so big and beautiful! I'm sure they will grow you many fruits. My calamondin has its firsts fruitlets and I cannot wait for my first one! I wish I had a nursery I could go to. That calamondin is HUGE! Fantastic trees!

Oh don't I know it! Even my littles have discovered the excitement of picking fruit in the back yard! All of my kids love gardening because it means yummy eating! This picture here, Annabelle is eating one blueberry, putting one in the bowl, eating one, and so on haha!

When my boy was the same age, he would stand in front of the cherry tomatoes, just popping them in his mouth, all warm from the sun and oh so sweet!

My daughter used to do that with blackberries. She is on her own now and now our two dogs do the picking but not blackberries. They tried picking blackberries when they were puppies but learned that they have thorns. So now they are picking strawberries when we aren't looking.

Vladimir, what a sweet picture you painted! My daughter, just graduating from college, is a bio major, but not very interested in gardening. My son, a freshman in college, insists I wait till he is home on break to go plant shopping! The dog moseys along, getting in the way, and snacking on everything!
