This may be a really dumb question, bragu, but, what is that in your bottom picture at about the 5 o'clock position in the pot?

That is a water level indicator. it is a lechuza pot and is supposed to tell me when to water. Since it is outside, i removed the bottom drain plug, to allow excess water to drain. The plug goes back in this fall when the plant comes back inside...
