Iced Tea

HOt! HOt! Hot!

And a little rain today. Humid! Humid! Humid!

The excavation people were supposed to be here today to correct my pasture pond effect. Since it's Wednesday, I expected them. My error in not clarifying which Wednesday.

OH dear ImHappy apparently they did not show up. So sorry about that.

I am actually drinking iced coffee about ready to eat my dinner of baked chicken. This was one of the most perfect days we have had all year. Temp was 75 degrees a very light breeze and very slightly overcast. Working in the yard was such a pleasure and I also spent quite a bit of time sitting in my new carport patio writing emails. I just did not want to come inside. Finally my tummy won. Feed me.

I did a lot of little things I wanted to get done. Nothing too strenuous but good to have them done. I actually believe I am slowly gaining on this yard. I made plans for another bottle tree placement but have not gone out and dug the hole yet. I might do it after I eat dinner. And then again I might not. LOL Tomorrow is another day. I need a lot more bottles and spikes to hang them on.

Excavation people will be here "in a couple of days".

I have some of those battery flame tea lights. I wonder what I have that I could put them in for summer. Probably not a jack o lantern ;-)

Aw come on ImHappy have some fun with them. LOL good to hear your ground people will be there soon. I actually have some of those too. I just have them sitting around if the power goes out. I also have battery LED puck lights close at hand. Course this time of year it stays light until almost 10PM so no need and usually after that I am heading to bed.

I did manage to get the cart load of branches chipped up. the carport patio is not only pretty it is functional. There was room to pull the cart under shelter and the chipper with tarp under it and I got it done. Also moved the load of grass clippings neighbor brought to me. It never rained very hard but I think I am done outside for the day. I have lots to do inside.

I shouldn't even say this out loud but it's cool enough for a sweatshirt today. It won't last.

Was pretty warm here today. I had to take off over cotton shirt and just to T-shirt. Was painting so had to wait for shade. I also put a roof on the cat walk and the high rise catio or now because the wood there is not made to be weather proof. If the kid does not roof it it will be fine if he does it is 12 screws to take off and he can do his thing. I used the electric metal scissors for the first time. Scared me but I got it done. then getting so high up on the ladder to do the top had me terrified. Glad it is done now. It is all turning out quite well. I am pleased and the snow will come off that metal nicely. I painted it white and Joe told me when I did the dog house roof years ago it would never last and it is still doing just fine. Who knew you could paint galvanized metal?

New trellis is also sporting two coats of purple. I relented and decided to paint it and very glad I did. Now considering painting the under side the dog house roof since it does show now. UGH I do not like painting over head but it is not too high up there.

We're back in rain cycle so no pond work yet. Flags are up, just waiting my turn.

Don't let me forget jury duty July 3!
