Absolutely not. I suppose if the timing and variety were right with a little luck you could grow a fall crop. But this is the time of year tomatoes stew on the vine.

Temps "too high": 121 degrees. That's one way to look at it.

That sounds interesting, I hope you will update us when your fruit ripens.

Once the temps get over 95 they won't set fruit. I am keeping one alive and will root cuttings for Fall plants.

My tomato plants are supposedly heat tolerant so we'll see how they do over summer. Right now they have several tomatoes on them as well and seem to be proceeding the way I'd want them to. They get several hours of shade mid-day. A few years ago I had a few plants that made it through summer and gave me a good fall harvest. We'll see if that works out this year. I'm surprised they make it through today's 119°.

I just wanted to update this. The patio tomatoes I grew last year are still alive and thriving on the patio.

They grew a lot of smaller tomatoes towards the end of the summer. When the cold nights started in November, they both stopped growing. Now they are putting out new leaves and some flowers are starting on both. I also have all my pepper plants from last year that just stayed on the patio. I bought the seeds last year on ebay and they were just called "Patio tomatoes" (Not the cherry type, I believe it was F1)

I'm going to repot them this week since they are now outgrowing the small container I started them in.

Now that's some good news Andy! On a lark I sowed some seeds in a half whiskey barrel in the yard late last year - around Thanksgiving I think. They came up and have several green tomatoes now. They are Silvery Fir Tree, a small salad type tomato. Very nice. I've grown them before. Good luck with the harvest!
