Do you happen to know, Hyn, what traits tend to be dominant in Sinns?

Purple, purple, purple. So I will almost certainly get mostly purple from this cross. Nothing outstanding there, but a few might be pink and among those there is a slim chance some might be coral but very doubtful. Some may also be doubles but I wouldn't mind a few with the lower white petals with thin stripes. I don't expect anything terribly exciting from this cross. I'm more interested in practicing because I hadn't hybridized sinningia before.

I've also tried to self 'Amanda's Penny' to see what comes of that. Again, probably nothing profound but I can use the practice raising sinningia seedlings. I'll still gather data and learn from it.

I also crossed Stones Yula (pink and white) with Gabriel's Horn (red flowers with touch of purple-pink in the throat, with red calyces) and that might end up being a more interesting outcome if I can produce a red and white. Probably no calyces though. I'll likely have seed to share out later and eventually get picky and careful with my crosses once I learn some from screwing around.

Can sometimes be quite surprising to learn about which traits dominate in crosses. For example, with the flowers of Cattleya orchids, lavender is dominant. So a dark purple crossed with a lavender will typically result in offspring with lavender flowers.

Right. And it is likely I'll get some pinks. But coral, probably not unless I get really lucky. A double coral with the white lip markings could be outstanding. Just very unlikely. One never knows until they try and see what happens.

So do we get to see photos of your babies from your crosses? I have also dabbled with crossing sinningia's but it's too early to see my results. J
