Welcome to Honeycrisp. Mine do that all the time. From what I heard, this variety has a virus in it? Maybe that is also why it is such a low vigor variety. The apples are so tasty that I have learned to accept the lousy looking leaves.

It always seems to be the new growth that shows these symptoms.

Interesting... thanks for info. I got nervous because I tried ammonium sulfate on this one tree and have been watching it... after about two weeks it looked fine so I dosed the rest of the trees with AS and then I saw this and I was fearing fertilizer burn. Thanks again!

Honey Crisp leave yellowing is a genetic disorder of this variety. It looks bad but no hard to the tree or the fruit.

hC has a tendency to go biennial if you don't thin off fruitlets a lot (like 80% off).

to help your tree produces fruit spurs sooner, you should bend down those branches to at least 60 degrees so hormone could be distributed evenly along branches which will result in fruit buds and flowers next year. Just bend them down and tie them with rocks if you don't use tree spreaders.

Thanks for feedback. This tree is 5 years old never flowered. I have trained alot of the branches. Are those angles no good? Lower?
