The waiting is over but this is another "somalense disappointment" (probably with obesum genes). I have never managed to grow a somalense with the wildtype star-shaped flowers and prominent nectar guides. Except one, they all had the same obesum-like pink flowers. I think, I will finally give up...

Here is a two year Somalense cutting, the one in the middle is an Obesum from seed and the one on the left is a black Somalense from seed one year old. My nephew with the somalense cutting he's six foot plus tall.
