Matte Cream Tiles < 10. Do They exist?

Now that our kitchen Reno is preceding in earnest, I'm back on the backsplash hunt.

We have cherry shaker cabs with PA original soapstone. I'm going to wait to make a final decision until we have the counter on the perimeter installed but i would like to have some contenders.

I keep finding $30 tile I really like ( fireclay ultra cream for example) which means I'd be saving money for awhile. Not opposed to this route but I'd prefer a matte tile over gloss if possible and even better if it is something I could afford to install this winter vs 3 years from now.

Inspiration pic, but I'll have more modern finishes for hardware and faucets and we have a blue/faux slatey ceramic tile floor.

I'd love some suggestions, I've been in hot pursuit of tiles all week.

Mohawk owns American Olean and Daltile. If any of these is out of business its news to me. While Mohawk has consistently moved tile production to Mexico shutting down US plants, they haven't ceased production as far as I can tell. You should be able to order these tiles online or find them at you local Home Depot or Lowes.

American Olean is owned by Daltile. :)

I was going to suggest Daltile (in particular Artigiano) but cpartist beat me to it. :)

Ok I ordered these samples. The crisp linen also comes in a matte but they didn't have a sample, if I like the color I'll just order a bullnose or trim piece.

We will see how the colors look once the samples arrive!

The maker of these tiles closed the business. I would suggest looking at Pratt & Larson tiles, they have several lines that would come close to this. The grout is grey tint, but very light.

The first time I put soapstone in our bathroom, the daltile colors didn't work with the greys or the light coming in. But I got my samples and the matte pearl white is pretty good (even better when you consider the price). I'm going to wait until I install the counters to finalize but pretty sure I'm going to go with the matte pearl white. And I wrk at Lowes, I haven't heard anything about them going out of business, although I supposed I could look up our buyers and inquire. But on a side note, I believe Pratt and Larson was way out of the price point, they were one I greatly admired though. We are doing a whole house remodel, so if I can save costs somewhere for once, it would be a welcome change
