I am in zone 8 and had planted 3 Asiatic lilies last year. I bought them at Home Depot for $1 each when they were just about done blooming. This year I have one that has sprouted up and has 3 great looking lilies, then I have one that has just barely come through the ground and one that is about 2" above the ground.. I wasn't expecting anything amazing from $1 plants at the end of season but is this normal, will they all come back or did I get a couple duds ?
