Grant is going to show your Empress who's boss in that garden maybe? Huge looking leaves. Great looking hosta!

Wow, that Ulysses S.Grant is gorgeous, but too big for my limited space. You selected wonderful hostas . I bought One Last Dance because Dave ordered it and I'm sure we all will not regret it :-)

Watch out for that Victory. Mine grew into a monster very quickly.

I don't think your fourth picture is Grand Prize. Even on a juvenile plant (and this one is reasonably mature), this variety should have very wide, very yellow margins. Check out the Hosta Library for some good photos. Don't know what this one is, other than a rather nice little hosta, but almost certainly not GP.

dhaven, it was labeled Grand Prize and I took a photo of it and Its label. I must admit I have had some trepidation regarding this hosta. It's doing well, and I like it so I am not going to hassle with the vendor for a plant I purchased a year ago. If I paid a hefty price for it, that would be another story.

My search revealed that my hosta is Diamond Tiara.

Could you have a 2 for 1 in your 4th picture? The outside with white edge does look like Diamond Tiara. The center leaves are elongated and have gold edge. A nice sport maybe.

U S Grant is a great grower so give it room! One of my best growers, 4' tall and 5'wide in 5 yrs. from a mail order plant. Remains very vase shaped.

I got Dinky Donna last year and it survived being pulled out of the ground

by the deer so I think it's a keeper!

Those first two look like they're going to be huge in a couple of years - they're gorgeous!

Update: I decided to pursue my hosta order with the vendor and happy to say that a Grand Prize is heading my way. Yippee!
