INTERESTED IN HYBRIDIZING SALVIAS

Anyone tried making crosses between their different salvias? I am just this year growing both S. farinacea and S. Patens. [S. Coccinea I started a couple years back. Though I did save seed and start some this spring to add to the new ones, it happily self-seeded everywhere - thus, there really was no need. :)]

Am curious if these will cross, either with my assistance or by nature? The hummingbirds have already discovered them, as have butterflies, bees, etc. It's my understanding that they do cross easily in the wild, but would like to hear some 1st hand accounts here on GW. Anyone?
