Undermount sink installation advice

Can anyone tell me the advantage of a positive or negative reveal would be?

Seems like a flush mount would be easier to keep clean etc.

It's really a cosmetic preference but I like an 1/8" negative reveal where the counter top opening is slightly smaller than the sink. That setup conceals any adhesive. What is important from a structural perspective is the proper installation of the sink. Read the thread "counter top dispute with fabricator" for some insight.

We chose flush because we like it and it's easier to keep clean - at least in our own heads. OTOH, some people choose positive or negative because they prefer it and have no problem keeping it clean. You can safely do whatever appeals to you.

I install lots of sinks and always recommend a positive reveal, large or small. Negative reveals make an invisible crud ledge and flush makes for an elongated silicone joint. A positive reveal, even 1/8", makes a virtually invisible and maintenance-free joint.
