aurora, so kinda unrelated, but how on earth would I go about rooting a hoya like, say retusa?? It seems daunting.... since the leaves are all so tiny...

Retusa is a tricky one to root, not counting the small leaves. I normally remove bottom leaves until I have about a half inch of bare rooting stem to stick in the media. If it still won't stay put, I use a paperclip or orchid clip, or whatever I have handy lying around (small rocks, a marble, pieces of broken glass or plastic (use caution-duh!), to secure the cutting in place.
