Thank you for the advice, Rick. The issues Hyn is having has got me kind of spooked. I'm not very good at taking pictures, either, so that doesn't help with diagnosis assistance.

I'd agree with the quarantine. Sometimes the leaves look a bit weird after leafing out again from dormancy, but I've never seen splotches like that.

Hopefully it's just a reaction to the change in light, because they can turn some weird colors when the leaves burn, but it's better to to be safe than sorry. Definitely quarantine it and keep an eye out.

This is interesting, Tyler. Are the leaves "leathery" and the caudex on the "dry, greyish looking" side? It may be related to heat, high dry climate in your specific region ... Is your climate desert dry or humid?

Here's my reasoning: I periodically swap plants with people from different regions. I live in a very humid climate and have generally found that, while the caudex on my plants remain a vibrant green, the plants of those living in drier regions look more like desert plants, with a greyish caudex.

I have received plants that look just like yours and pruned everything off. Once branched, the new leaves came in perfectly normal ... neither leathery nor mottled.

Just something to think about.

Our San Diego weather has been hot for the past 2 week with temps in the 80's. Not really very humid, but not desert-like dry either that we would term "Santa Ana's" with the hot dry winds blowing east to west from the desert. Not sure what the humidity levels have been but based on the way my skin feels I'd say more on the dryer side. Since I get the coastal influence, we still have overcast mornings until about 9 or 10, then sunny after that until about 6 pm when the clouds roll back in.

The leaves are rather leathery and the caudex is light tan to grayish in color. Not green at all above the growing medium. I haven't peeked below.

Hopefully you're right Maria Elena and it's just due to my climatic conditions rather than some type of virus.

So this one decided to bloom for me, pink speckled leaves and all. Adenium Obesum Pink Pathumma. It's pretty close to the picture from the eBay seller.

The 1st picture is the advertisement. The others are my blooms, taken yesterday and today. I'm very happy with this one.

Hi Tyler give it a drink of trace elements or volcanic dust it looks like your substrate would wash any goodness out of it pretty quickly its cheap and will give them a kick on.

Headed out to water this morning with rain water, Foliage Pro and Protekt. Hopefully that does the trick.
