I have been reading up on this HVX. Meaning re-reading what has been posted here over time. I am a bit shell shocked. This hosta was perfectly fine for 15 years.... divided a few times and now I see one of them has gone terribly wrong. Being rid of it isn't much of a loss--I have many others but still it disturbs me. Why this one division? Why after all this time? Why no signs on any other (thank the Lord) but where did it come from??? How long until I see it it the others? I am re-leaved to see it is safe to plant anything but hosta in the hole its removal will leave. Even so I think I will put a potted flower there... It also helps that the hail has it looking sooo ratty there is no loss here. I lost track of it's name years ago. It is one of my favorite yellows. In the spring the yellow is beautiful but it goes green as June settles in. The more green the less one sees the bleeding colors. I have watched it for a few years now..it isn't getting better. What made me notice a change initially has turned to UGLY this year.
