Based on the photos, definitely the subway.

Is the tile way whiter than the cabs or is it just the lighting?

I like the basic flat subway tile, not the beveled. --Good luck with your kitchen!

It is hard to tell from your photos...in this picture it looks like the subway tile is the closest color match to your counter and cabinets. Maybe a picture from further back would help. Have you ever considered the subway in a herringbone pattern?

I like the beveled it isn't as plain as the subway but not as "fancy" as the arabesque. It seems like a good compromise between the styles. Plus it goes with the edges of the cabinet as they are not completely squared off, but have a bit of a traditional shape to them.

I still like the beveled but thinking about it they may be a pain to clean...:/

I like the way the beveled/crackle tiles add dimension and interest. Not your everyday subway- more special.

tbchic, based on your farther back views I think either one of the subways would work very nicely. Which one are you leaning toward? I would definitely disregard the arabesque...too busy and too stark.
