Miniature Roses

My old mini rose isn't such a mini any more!

Hubby gave me a small potted mini rose from the local grocery store back in the '80's. It outgrew its pot, so we planted it outside. I do pretty much nothing to it except to trim back branches that are unacceptably wayward. Wanted to share how big it's grown (over 6 feet tall)! It's a constant bloomer with clusters of roses Spring until cold weather!

Some of these grocery store mini's will grow fairly large. Just because the tag says "mini" doesn't mean the bush will stay small.

Spectacular! The mini only refers to the size of the bloom and the leaves, not the size of the plant.

I think mine was either best friends or rainbows End. The tag even said do not over fertilize it will get large. And it did . It was about 5 ft tall and just covered in beautiful orange and yellow blooms.
