Lovely gardens, how lucky can you get?

Wait... do you mean that everyone was working in your big and beautiful garden with shovels, weeding, raking mulch, and breaking a sweat, etc... or were you all discussing and analyzing the hostas and planning the layout rearranging the potted hostas?

They visited and you put them to work, didn't you? (just kidding- but giggling to myself thinking of that) ;)

So much land to plant. Aaaaaaahhhhhh. That's a NYC resident talking, all right.

So Gary, are those all waiting to be planted or are you growing them permanently in pots. Burton, the owner of hosta house in Salt Lake City encouraged me to grow mine in sunken pots here in zone 5. Did a lot of them last year and through the winter and they came through pretty well, at least those that has some snow cover. Pros and cons. Easy to rearrange and transplant but I can see it will be hard for them to grow to full size.

Probably a third of them are waiting to be planted. The others are either ones I use in my hybridizing projects or duplicates of ones already in the ground that I give to friends and visitors.

Wow, that's amazing. I'm sure lot's of hard work went in to that, but it sure looks like it was worth it.

Very nice, indeed. Then again, it would have to be to get Ken to leave Michigan these days. He doesn't even leave for conifers. ;-)
