5 seed pods and blooming

Very happy with this hard working obesum. Hand pollinated seed pods. The bigger ones are 65 days old, another 2-3 weeks more to mature I guess. Eagerly waiting for them to brown and split. When is it going to be... any guess :)

Thanks Latinlady, Marie and Lisa. Very pleased with this lady, giving 2 sets of triplet pods (one pod aborted) this time. Had zero pollination success for a long time.

Hi Lisa, how old are your pods now? Lol... Long stressful wait indeed... I hope its going to be the lower end of the 75-90 days :)

I just noticed them a few weeks ago so it couldn't be more than a month or so. You will see it start to dry and get ready. I've lost so many forgetting to look and they all blew away! (Ha!Ha! I just went and looked at mine with a flashlight!)

Hi Lisa, they wont have chance to fly away here as I check mine twice a day. I harvest when I see a split in the centre of the dry pod. You may want to use a net to bag them up in case you forget again haha...

Have never seen triple pods before, is that an unusual phenomenon? Never seen a double in real life either come to think of it! Lol.

    Nice full flowers btw Tan.

Lol... Gill, you made me laugh. No, its not unusual to get triplets. I remember you almost had pods last year. Hope you see pods on your yellow flower adenium soon. The pods look cute when young :)

Yep, if you noticed them when they were this young, I'm not worried about your seeds blowing away!!! Nice picture! (What ya gonna do with all those seeds? The flower is gorgeous!)

Lisa, haha I can feel your frustration when yours got blown away. Going to grow some and give some to friends. I have a space limitation here.

Maria, yes certainly :). Its a cross of this triple petal white/pink with pollens from a single petal red/white.

Thank you, Tan. I was what we call in NYC "seriously joking!" While I would love to have your seed, I know you are located outside of the US. Houzz Terms of Use does not allow exchanges internationally. I do, in fact, already have a couple of similar pink/white carnation-looking KO triple seedlings growing. Have a little garden party and share your seeds locally with your friends, family, and neighbors. They will love the gesture!

    Be well.
