Synchron is the maker of the timer motor and not necessarily the clock maker. These timer motors are made in a wide variety of output speeds and are found in clocks, dishwashers, dryers, washing machines, etc.

Since there are no knobs on the back for moving the clock hands, I presume it is set by moving the minute hand, the same as wind-up clocks.

It is a shelf clock and has four feet to sit on. Its unusual feature is that it has a 24 hour face. I would expect to find this type of clock in a military installation, railroad or telegraph office, radio station, power plant, or a factory running multi-work shifts.

I'd say that it was an inexpensive clock with the clock drive mounted on a piece of Masonite and a paper label face wrapped over the Masonite.

Please pardon me. I took a closer look at the rear view and there may be a set knob sticking out the back of the gear plate. Its above and a little to the left of the clock motor. If this is a setting knob, then it should be used instead of forcing the hands.

I can't tell if there is glass over the front. With a set knob, there is no need to have a front door and the glass could be permanently fixed.
