Elvira looking at the newest nesting area.... Some of the girls have decided to lay their eggs on top of the rice straw bale. Henrietta burrowed out an actual bowl shape in the top a few days ago, and the other girls seem to like sitting up there now too. They're so funny... It's like "chickie see... chickie do!"

This is Lulu, one of the newer chickies. She's the smallest one of the bunch. She'll be laying blue or green eggs in a few weeks.

Gertie and her sister Henrietta have a strange fascination with the curtains inside the coop. They often go in and "hide" under them.
