A presume you will be using it for the 51-1 or gritty mix, in which case that does not look like the right stuff because it looks like it has been shredded. You want chunks of bark in it. The purpose of the bark is to absorb water but also to create air spaces.

why not shredded? The stuff the new trees are in look very similar.
